Showcase your Brewery, Distillery, or Winery at the Festival of Balmain 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your products to thousands of visitors and be part of one of the Inner West’s most popular community events. We particularly encourage applications from businesses based on the Balmain Peninsula and across the Inner West.
To participate in Festival of Balmain, vendors must meet the following requirements:
- Be based within the Inner West LGA. As limited spaces are available for Inner West brewers, distillers and wine producers priority will be given to vendors based in and around the Balmain area
- Beverages must be served in cans (no glass or plastic cups).
- Hold a current Food Vendor Licence (see info below) or be willing to obtain one
- Comply with Responsible Service of Alcohol Laws, including any required permits for all staff intending to work on the event.
- Must have the right liquor license to allow you to serve alcohol to the public.
STALLS: If you require Council to provide you with a stall structure, you will be provided a 3m x 3m walled marquee and 1 trestle table. You can view an example structure here.
If you are providing your own infrastructure, you will need to bring appropriate weights (20kg per leg), tables, chairs, and other furniture.

If your product requires any preparation such as egg whites, dairy products or nuts, you will additionally require a Council-issued Food Vendor Licence (FVL):

NB: If you do not prepare risky foods in your beverages, you will not require an FVL.
FOOD VENDOR LICENCE: The temporary Food Vendor Licence (FVL) allows annual and unlimited trading (with approval of the event organiser) at any registered markets held in the Inner West Local Government Area and must be paid directly to the Regulatory Support Team. This licence will be open for registration or renewal from 1 July 2026. If you held a Food Vendor Licence in 2025/2026 you will need to renew it after 1 July 2026 to partake in this festival.

Due to high demand and a limited number of stalls, not all applications will be successful. Participation in previous events does not guarantee an offer. Council is unable to provide individual feedback on unsuccessful applications.
