PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO VENDORS BASED OR OPERATING WITHIN THE INNER WEST LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA AND WITH PRODUCT THAT IS ALIGNED WITH THE THEME PORTUGUESE, BRAZILIAN OR MEDITERRANEAN.

This community event is hosted annually by Inner West Council and attracts around 30,000 attendees. With a limited number of stalls available this is an excellent opportunity for your business to get involved in Inner West Council events.

This event is a Flagship Event.

Attendees will taste the Portuguese culture at the annual Bairro Português – Petersham Food & Wine Fair on Sunday 10 March 2019, from 10am to 6pm. The streets of Petersham will come alive with a party atmosphere with contemporary/traditional Portuguese dancing and music. Stalls lining the streets will serve delicious Mediterranean, Portuguese and Brazilian cuisines, wines, beers and sangria.

 Applications will be assessed on the following criteria:

PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO VENDORS BASED OR OPERATING WITHIN THE INNER WEST LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA (LGA).

  • Full completion of the form and corresponding information (please see following);
  • Relevance of the product to the event being Portuguese, Brazilian and Mediterranean;
  • Product quality;
  • Stalls selling home-made, original, artesian and locally produced products;
  • Demonstrated professionalism and event experience (i.e. participation in other Council events, written references);
  • Product duplication (Council reserves the right to limit the amount of stalls selling the same product);
  • Compliance with environmental management procedures and the requirements for one day food stalls;
  • Base of operations (local / non-local) and
  • Application date (applications will be considered in order of date of receipt).

 Incomplete applications may not be considered. 

Once you have read and understood the terms and conditions, at the end of the form you will be asked to attach:

1) Copy of your public liability certificate of currency;

2) A fully disclosed product list and photos of your stall set-up and products;

3) Copy of  your NSW Food Authority Registration; and

4) Copy of your recent site inspection report.

Please be aware that under Council's Environmental Guidelines, all stallholders agree to use recyclable packaging, containers and utensils.

Applications close 9am, Monday 7 January 2018. Council reserves the right to refuse any application. If your application is successful you will be notified by Monday 21 January 2019 and your payment requested.
